About the Role

We're hiring a Marketing Director to build and lead the marketing function for a fast-growing seed-stage technology startup preparing for a major product launch.

This is a foundational leadership role where you'll define how the company is positioned in the market, shape the brand narrative, and build the marketing engine from the ground up.

You'll operate across brand strategy, growth marketing, partnerships, experiential activations, events, and launch campaigns while working closely with leadership during a critical stage of company growth.

This role is ideal for highly creative yet analytically driven marketers who thrive in startup environments, enjoy building from zero to one, and can balance strategic brand thinking with hands-on execution.

As the company prepares for a major launch later this year, leadership is investing heavily in building a differentiated brand identity and go-to-market strategy capable of standing out in highly competitive consumer and lifestyle markets.

The company is looking for a builder who can help shape not only the launch strategy, but the long-term marketing organization as the business scales.

What You'll Do

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Own global brand positioning, messaging, and narrative development
  • Translate complex technology into compelling, consumer-friendly storytelling
  • Define brand voice and ensure consistency across all customer touchpoints
  • Help shape how the company is perceived externally from launch onward

Product Launch & Growth Marketing

  • Develop and execute awareness campaigns leading into product launch
  • Define KPIs and build marketing performance tracking systems from day one
  • Analyze campaign performance and optimize using data-driven decision-making
  • Build scalable marketing systems and operational processes

Partnerships & Experiential Marketing

  • Lead athlete ambassador partnerships and relationship management
  • Coordinate in-person activations, events, trade shows, and experiential campaigns
  • Manage social media initiatives and brand collaborations
  • Partner with external agencies while maintaining strong creative oversight

Marketing Leadership & Team Building

  • Build the foundation for the future marketing organization
  • Establish processes, workflows, and long-term marketing infrastructure
  • Help hire and scale future marketing team members
  • Grow into a broader senior marketing leadership role as the company scales

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in:

    • Brand marketing
    • Growth marketing
    • Consumer product marketing
    • Marketing leadership roles
  • Experience leading brand strategy and campaign development for consumer products
  • Strong creative and content development capabilities
  • Highly analytical mindset with strong KPI tracking and performance measurement experience
  • Comfortable operating independently in startup environments
  • Strong hands-on execution ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing physical or hardware consumer products

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $150,000 – $185,000 USD
  • Equity included
