About the Role
We're hiring a Business Operations Manager to serve as the operational right hand to the CEO of a rapidly growing AI-powered procurement platform transforming the $12 trillion CPG industry.
This is a highly cross-functional, execution-heavy role where you'll work directly with leadership across customer success, sales operations, recruiting, internal systems, and operational automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate combines elite analytical training with startup execution ability — someone who can move quickly in ambiguous environments, build operational systems from scratch, and leverage AI-native workflows to improve company efficiency at scale.

What You'll Do
Customer Success & Operations
- Run weekly customer check-ins and operational reviews
- Triage customer issues across product and engineering teams
- Help improve customer workflows and operational execution
- Support customer retention and long-term account success
Sales Operations & Revenue Support
- Own CRM hygiene and sales pipeline reporting
- Prepare prospect briefings, demos, and sales materials
- Coordinate with leadership on pipeline management and sales operations
- Support outbound execution and operational efficiency across GTM teams
Recruiting & Internal Operations
- Manage recruiting workflows for non-executive hiring
- Coordinate sourcing, scheduling, and first-round candidate screening
- Build operational systems that improve internal execution and scalability
- Support cross-functional coordination across teams
Automation & AI Workflows
- Build AI-native automations and operational workflows
- Eliminate repetitive manual work using AI tools and automation platforms
- Improve operational efficiency across internal systems and business processes
- Help shape how AI is integrated into company operations
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 1.5+ years at:
- McKinsey
- Bain
- BCG
- Or top-tier investment banking firms
- Candidates without MBB or equivalent top-tier investment banking experience will not be considered
- 2–6 years total professional experience
- Experience operating within startup environments after consulting or banking
- Experience in roles such as:
- Chief of Staff
- Startup Operator
- Special Projects
- Founder
- Operational leadership roles
- Strong ability to execute in unstructured, fast-moving environments
Technical & Operational Skills
- AI-native mindset with active use of:
- ChatGPT
- Claude
- Zapier
- Automation tooling
- AI workflow systems
- Strong operational problem-solving ability
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to independently own operational workflows and execution
Work Environment
- Based in or willing to relocate to Redwood City, California
- High-ownership startup environment

Compensation & Benefits

- Base Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 USD
