Job Descriptions:
Payroll Operations & Delivery
- Lead day-to-day payroll operations in Thailand, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness
- Review payroll outputs, reconciliations, and reports prior to submission and payment
- Ensure payroll processes meet established service levels (SLAs) and quality standards
- Maintain proper documentation of payroll processes, controls, and workflows
Statutory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with Thailand labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements
- Oversee monthly and annual filings, including Social Security Fund (SSF), withholding tax (PND1), and year-end reporting
- Act as the primary contact for internal and external audits related to payroll
- Proactively identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions
- Liaise with external vendors, tax agents, and authorities where required
Governance & Regional Alignment
- Partner with the Regional Payroll Manager on payroll governance, approvals, and escalations
- Ensure alignment with regional payroll policies, controls, and standard practices
- Support reporting, controls validation, and audit requirements at regional level
Team Supervision & Development
- Supervise and support the development of the local payroll team
- Provide coaching, training, and guidance to build payroll capability and continuity
- Ensure clear task allocation, accountability, and performance standards
Process Improvement & Projects
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Support payroll system enhancements, automation, and transformation initiatives
- Participate in regional payroll projects and standardization efforts
- Support business expansion activities such as new client onboarding or operational setup (if applicable)
Transition & Knowledge Management
- Lead knowledge transfer from the outgoing Payroll Manager and ensure proper documentation of all payroll processes
- Maintain continuity of operations during transition period
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Payroll experience, with strong hands-on expertise and strong knowledge of Thailand payroll operations and compliance.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end Thailand payroll and statutory compliance (SSF, withholding tax, labor law).
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Experience in shared services or multinational environment preferred.
- Exposure to payroll vendors or outsourced payroll models is an advantage.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Fluent in Thai and English (both written and spoken).
- Knowledge of automation tools/macros is a plus.
