R&D Manager
About the job R&D Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the R&D team responsible for inks, chemical products, and quality control.
- Develop in-house capabilities to modify and fine-tune screen, pad, and digital printing inks to meet customer requirements.
- Research and develop additives and accessories for printing processes that create competitive advantages for customers.
- Analyze customer requirements and identify new business opportunities for ink modifications and new product development.
- Conduct feasibility studies for new ink developments, additives, and accessory projects.
- Create and continuously update the R&D strategic plan and project portfolio.
- Provide technical support and consultancy to Sales, Technicians, and Product Managers, including troubleshooting and customer joint projects.
- Support product trials and implementation of newly developed products at customer sites.
- Work closely with Product Managers to ensure customer-focused development and target costing.
- Coach and mentor R&D assistants and team members to ensure good R&D practices.
- Establish and optimize systems for sourcing and selecting raw materials.
- Ensure all chemical products comply with international standards, environmental regulations, and health & safety requirements.
- Train internal teams on chemical and technical aspects related to printing applications.
- Conduct competitive product analysis to understand technical performance and market positioning.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field.
- Can speak Thai fluently.
- Minimum 5 years of R&D experience in a printing ink manufacturing company.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an R&D management role.
- Strong understanding of R&D processes and best practices.
- Knowledge of organizational structure and operations within an ink manufacturing company.
- Experience or strong knowledge in screen printing and pad printing applications is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of English communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
- Open-minded, respectful, and mentally flexible personality.
- Proactive working style with strong self-management, attention to detail, and strategic thinking mindset.
