Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret demolition plans, drawings, and safety procedures.
- Carry out manual and mechanical demolition of structures, including walls, floors, ceilings, and entire buildings.
- Operate demolition tools and machinery such as jackhammers, breakers, saws, and excavators.
- Sort, remove, and dispose of debris and materials in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Identify and handle hazardous materials (e.g., asbestos, lead) following proper procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure all demolition activities are performed safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to coordinate demolition work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing hazards and securing work areas.
- Conduct pre- and post-demolition safety checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- Follow all health and safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Demolition Worker in construction and/or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of demolition techniques, tools, and machinery.
- Ability to read demolition plans and technical drawings.
- Physical strength and stamina for demanding manual work.
- Awareness of safety regulations and hazardous material handling.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications or training in demolition (e.g., VCA preferred).
- Valid work permit for the Netherlands.
- English level B1/B2
