Project Overview

Digital Shared Services, a Shared Health initiative, supports the transformation of healthcare delivery through innovative use of information and communication technologies. The program focuses on enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and integration of information management and digital health solutions across the provincial healthcare sector.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex healthcare transformation initiatives within a digital shared services environment. The successful candidate will oversee planning, execution, and delivery of projects involving healthcare systems, process redesign, and technology implementation, ensuring alignment with clinical and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders
• Manage organizational change initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and communication strategies
• Facilitate healthcare system analysis and redesign, including surgical processes, intake models, and governance frameworks
• Oversee implementation, upgrade, and optimization of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and electronic ordering systems
• Lead large-scale transformation initiatives, including service and organizational redesign
• Coordinate integration of laboratory systems and electronic results reporting solutions
• Present recommendations, progress updates, and outcomes to senior leadership for review and approval
• Ensure compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and privacy legislation

Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) – proof required
• Prosci Change Management Certification – proof required

Education & Certifications

• Valid Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent)
• Valid Program Management certification (e.g., PgMP or equivalent)

Required Skills & Experience

Project Management Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing projects, including:
  • Developing project plans
  • Managing budgets
  • Leading multi-disciplinary teams

Healthcare Change Management

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing changes to healthcare services
• Demonstrated experience working with clinical stakeholders
• Experience presenting to and obtaining approvals from senior leadership

Healthcare System Analysis & Redesign

• Minimum 4 years leading healthcare system redesign initiatives, including:
  • Surgical process flows
  • Intake and governance models
  • Performance measurement and reporting

Digital Health Systems Experience

• Minimum 3 years working with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and electronic ordering systems
• Experience with implementation, upgrades, or operational support

Transformation & Organizational Redesign

• Minimum 5 years leading large-scale transformation initiatives
• Experience with organizational and/or service redesign

Laboratory & Results Reporting Systems

• Minimum 1 year of experience with electronic lab systems or medical results reporting solutions
• Experience with system integration between lab platforms and reporting tools
