Job Openings Senior Event Planner - US

About the job Senior Event Planner - US

Job Title: Senior Event Planner

Location: Remote, United States

Hours: Flexible, project-based

Compensation: Project-based, minimum rate $35/hr

About us:

We plan corporate retreats end to end for growing companies, offering a la carte solutions across the event-management process. Our delivery network is independent operators who own their projects and pick their work, backed by a team that handles account management and technical support so you can focus on the craft.

What this role is:

You take a program from brief through on-site execution on your own. You own the budget, the agenda, the client communication, and the room on event day. This is autonomous, project-based work for someone who has run programs solo, not someone who needs an account director above them.

What you will own:

Vendor management: research, negotiate, and secure venues and vendors; own contracts, logistics, and deliverables

Budget oversight against the client's financial goals

Agenda design: workshops, speakers, activities, and networking that fit the client's objectives

On-site management: hands-on execution from registration to breakouts; calm handling of whatever breaks

Stakeholder communication: primary liaison across client, vendors, and internal team

What we are looking for:

End-to-end ownership of programs, repeatedly, with no account director above you

DMC, incentive-house, or small-agency background is the strongest fit: trained to land in an unfamiliar city and deliver against a brief with no home-office safety net

You have run 50 to 150 attendees through on-site solo and owned the budget

You have real stories about fixing it on-site when the plan broke

Prior freelance or multi-client work is a plus; you want flexible, autonomous, project-based work

Eligibility:

Remote, must be based in the United States, work performed within the US only

Not eligible: candidates based in or working from California, Massachusetts, or New Jersey

To apply, answer:

1) Describe a program where the plan broke and no one was available to ask. What did you decide, and what happened?

2) Walk through how you would run a 60-person retreat from a one-line brief.

3) Confirm your work location is in the United States, outside California, Massachusetts, and New Jersey (Yes/No, plus your state).
