Credit Middle Office & Agency Analyst/Associate (New York)
Our client is a large Scandinavian financial services group and offers financial products and services, including loans and deposits, mutual funds and asset management, life insurance and pension savings, payment and financing services, real estate brokerage and services related to the money and capital markets. The New York branch serves corporate customers in the bank's strategic business areas and, together with the firm's U.S. broker/dealer, comprises their operations in North America.
Goal:
In connection with the industries supported in North America, they are looking for an Analyst or Associate in our Credit Middle Office and Agency (CMO) area. The Analyst or Associate's primary responsibility is to execute in all DNB's CMO operational activities.
Responsibilities:
- Operating responsibility of the Credit Middle Office and Agency including but not limited to credit administration tasks and acting as contact point and coordinator for the Administrative Agency function
- Management of the Administrative Agency function including managing syndicate relationships, monitoring and follow up of deadlines for credit facility deliverables, tracking approvals and lender consents, maintaining Debtdomain sites, review of loan documentation for operational feasibility, and proper management of security
- Ensure adherence to credit control for loans, working capital facilities, letters of credit, and uncommitted limits by monitoring credit approvals, ensuring facility and legal review summaries are completed, and collaborating with all relevant stakeholders.
- Building relations and ensuring cooperation with relevant Divisions/business units and strategic partners
- Assist with obtaining Know Your Customer (KYC) information from syndicate lenders
- Creating and maintaining monthly reports issued by CMO
- Understanding and securing compliance to internal policies and rules, as well as understanding external rules and regulations (i.e. BSA/AML and/or OFAC) that may impact the department and supported business units
- Adhering to and contributing to the enhancement of internal controls and departmental procedures
- Optimizing the firm's brand and ensuring that the department is perceived as professional with high ethical standards
Competence Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or Economics is preferred
- Excellent business understanding and experience from banking or other relevant industry
- Familiarity with the international financial market
- Fluent in English
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in the financial service industry
- Solid understanding of corporate lending
- Agency/Middle Office experience is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills for establishing good working relationships with internal/external customers, lawyers, and counterparties
