Prosperity(Fluid) Workforce Solutions is hiring on behalf of a hospital in Pembroke, ON. We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join a dynamic Diagnostic Imaging team within a reputable regional hospital.
About the Role
As a Sonographer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will perform ultrasound examinations, produce accurate diagnostic images, and support patient care through professional and compassionate service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetrical, and gynecological scans
- Ensure high-quality image acquisition and proper documentation of technical observations
- Archive and verify imaging in PACS systems
- Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and confidentiality
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals regarding findings
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure a clean, safe working environment
- Coordinate with clinical teams to support efficient patient flow and care delivery
- Participate in on-call/standby duties as required
- Support students and learners in the clinical environment when applicable
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current registration with Sonography Canada (CRGS designation required)
- Experience in abdominal, obstetrical, and gynecological ultrasound

- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare diagnostic imaging setting
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development
Assets:
- Experience in vascular, musculoskeletal (MSK), shoulder, Doppler, or cardiac imaging
- Bilingualism (English/French)
Working Conditions
- Rotating shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call
- Physically demanding role requiring patient positioning and equipment handling
