Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Business Applications Analyst must possess qualifications and extensive hands-on experience in JD Edwards, project management, and the ability to lead a project (small to mid-size) or a small team. A Business Applications Analyst may oversee a group of business analysts and collaborate with other technical leads and SMEs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup/ Configure JDE modules to meet business requirements
- Document/Map Process, testing scenario's
- Supervise the development and execution of business solutions, systems, and services.
- Operate and analyze business applications, integrations, and data recovery methods.
- Demonstrate at least Basic to intermediate project management skills to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to organizational goals and objectives.
- Participate as a project team member in strategic projects.
- Collaborate with company heads, stakeholders, customers, and process owners to determine financial, business, and operational requirements and goals.
- Verify the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems and develop strategies for system improvements.
- Define the scope and parameters of system analysis, setting up criteria for results.
- Collaborate with other business analysts to plan, develop, design, and implement new applications and enhance existing applications.
- Assess software products to ensure they meet end-user demands.
- Assist management in making strategic decisions by providing cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for business applications.
- Analyze business requirements for modified and new business applications in collaboration with other business analysts and document fit/ gap analysis.
- Conduct training sessions and provide guidelines to junior analysts.
- Design methods and techniques for preparing and presenting business cases.
- Respond to assigned Helpdesk support tickets on time. Provide knowledge transfer to colleagues and junior BAs to help answer support tickets and meet SLA conditions.
- Ability to continuously learn and improve knowledge in relevant systems, modules, and technology.
- Utilize available learning methods including self-learning and self-improvement to achieve knowledge required for successful system support and projects.
- Ability to work in teams and to collaborate with others to achieve goals.
- Efficient communications with vendors and third-party stakeholders to address system issues and to help close open tasks.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of eight years of experience in business analysis is necessary, with at least five years as a JDEdwards analyst and configurator.
- Experience implementing, configuring and supporting JDE Distribution (Inventory, Sales, Procurement) or Financial Modules (GL, AR, AP). For CNC specialists, CNC experience is required.
- Knowledge of JDE Orchestrator and JDE development tools is an asset.
- Experience in supervising the development and execution of software solutions.
- Proficient in analyzing system requirements, fit/gap analysis, and technical solution documentation.
- At least basic to intermediate Project management skills are required.
- Ability to understand and work toward organizational goals and objectives, collaborating with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a creative approach.
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Efficient, logical reasoning skills.
- Ability to explain complex ideas in a simple and user-friendly language.
