Job Title: Senior Consultant, Security Architecture (SecArch)

Location: Remote- Canada

Contract: 12 months (contract)

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in Security Architecture to provide expert guidance and hands-on support during a critical 12-month engagement. The ideal candidate will design, assess, and enhance security architectures to protect enterprise systems against evolving threats, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and review of security architectures for applications, networks, cloud, and infrastructure.
  • Assess existing security controls and recommend improvements based on risk, industry best practices, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Collaborate closely with IT, development, and security teams to integrate security principles throughout the SDLC and infrastructure deployments.
  • Conduct threat modeling and security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and define mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation, standards, and security policies.
  • Provide strategic input on emerging technologies and help plan secure adoption of cloud, containerization, and automation.
  • Mentor junior security architects and consultants, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Support security incident investigations with architectural expertise as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in security architecture or related consulting roles.
  • Deep understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements (NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, GDPR).
  • Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of identity and access management, network security, encryption, and secure application development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, CISA, or CISM preferred.

Additional Details:

  • 12-month contract, with possibility for extension based on project needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Flexible remote work options available.
