About the Role

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for coordinating health and safety processes and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations across Canada. This individual will help develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive safety program across our client's clinic locations and head office. What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate health and safety training, including certifications and new hire orientations
  • Develop and update toolbox meetings, MEMOs, PowerPoint training courses, bulletins, SWPs, HAAs, and policies
  • Provide monthly reports to the HR Director and operations team
  • Lead the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) for clinic operations and head office
  • Develop and maintain safe evacuation procedures for all clinics and head office
  • Lead all WCB, WSIB, and WorkSafe BC claims, mitigating lost time whenever possible
  • Address non-compliance and hazards with corrective actions
  • Conduct facility inspections, complete safety inspection reports, and follow up on corrective action items
  • Ensure safety binders are current, including SDS, SWP, HAA, training records, and the Safety Manual
  • Travel to clinic locations as required

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent industry experience
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) or Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designation preferred
  • 3–5 years of prior experience working within the Occupational Health & Safety discipline
  • Experience in the healthcare or medical industry is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in creating and delivering training programs
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $80,000 – $85,000 annually
