Accountant (Malta and Bulgaria Operations)

We are currently looking for an experienced Accountant, whose main focus will be on the Malta entity, while also supporting accounting tasks related to the Bulgarian entities.

Location: Sofia, 64 Hristofor Kolumb Blvd, Bldg A02

Your Role:
As an Accountant supporting Fly2Sky, you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our entities, ensuring full compliance with local accounting standards, tax obligations, and regulatory requirements.


Your main responsibilities will include:

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Maltese and Bulgarian GAAP and IFRS
• Transaction Management: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to both Bulgarian and Malta-based operations
• Tax & Compliance: Manage VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory filings in line with Maltese and Bulgarian legislation, liaise with local authorities and auditors
• Banking Operations: Handle day-to-day banking activities in EUR and other currencies
• Revenue & Expense Control: Track revenue, costs, and intercompany transactions between Fly2Sky entities
• Liaison with External Partners: Coordinate with local accountants, auditors, and financial institutions in Malta and Bulgaria

What Were Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Excellent knowledge of Bulgarian and Maltese accounting, tax, and regulatory frameworks
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Familiarity with IFRS standards and experience working with international companies
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent command of English
