About the Opportunity
We have exciting casual opportunities available for Vegetation Management Field Team Members based across the Western Downs region.You'll work on a variety of land conservation projects, including chemical spraying of roadsides and protected areas, as well as weed control, revegetation planting, and maintenance activities.This is a fully field-based role, requiring resilience and a positive attitude towards working in a variety of weather conditions.We offer ongoing mentoring and support to help you achieve your career goals and grow your passion for land management.As most projects are located around Dalby, Chinchilla, and Toowoomba, our ideal candidates will be living locally in these areas.
About You
To be successful in this role, the following are highly regarded but not essential:
- Certificate in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, or similar
- Experience or interest in identifying native flora and invasive species
- Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) Accreditation
- Relevant tickets or experience operating and maintaining equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, and brush-cutters
The following are essential:
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Ability to pass a police check and regular drug and alcohol screening
- Mature attitude, responsible and able to work unsupervised
- Physically fit and willing to undertake labour-intensive work
- Reliable, hardworking and committed to a strong safety culture
