Key Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and executing HR strategies and functions in collaboration with a global team while partnering closely with leadership teams. This individual will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable HR infrastructure, developing high-velocity talent acquisition strategies, and building sustainable organisational capabilities across US operations.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Strategic Growth Management
- Design and execute comprehensive HR scaling strategies aligned with aggressive growth targets and global HR objectives.
- Develop workforce planning models for short- and long-term business expansion across US markets.
- Partner with leadership to create scalable HR processes and systems that adapt to rapid organizational growth.
- Foster a culture of ownership and strong leadership across the organization.
- Collaborate on global HR initiatives and contribute to unified strategy development.
- Serve as a liaison between corporate HR and local teams to ensure alignment.
- Develop and monitor metrics to measure HR program effectiveness.
Organizational Design & Scaling
- Participate in designing and implementing organizational structures to support rapid scaling.
- Develop flexible team structures that adapt to changing business needs.
- Create frameworks for rapid team expansion while maintaining cultural integrity.
- Manage change management strategies for various growth scenarios.
Talent Strategy & Acquisition
- Analyze business needs to define talent profiles, job descriptions, and qualifications.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes and build high-velocity talent acquisition engines.
- Develop innovative strategies for hard-to-fill, technical, and executive roles.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to streamline recruitment efforts.
- Establish talent pipelines with universities and technical institutions.
- Leverage diverse sourcing channels, including proactive outreach, to build a robust talent pool.
- Design competitive, scalable compensation structures.
- Implement best practices for recruitment, assessment, and onboarding.
- Conduct regional and industry talent market analyses to inform hiring decisions.
- Drive employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
Talent Development & Training
- Support business units in creating tailored development plans for employees at all levels.
- Manage learning and development programs to address performance gaps.
- Partner with leadership to identify training needs and recommend future programs.
Performance Management
- Develop scalable performance management and development frameworks.
- Monitor probationary and transitioning employees to ensure role alignment.
- Coach managers on goal setting, evaluations, and feedback delivery.
- Identify and promote employee growth opportunities.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- Resolve conflicts and manage employee relations cases with compliance in mind.
- Mitigate HR risks through proactive policy development.
HR Operations
- Implement global HRIS systems to support scaling efforts.
- Automate HR workflows for efficiency at scale.
- Design HR analytics systems for data-driven decision-making.
- Develop programs to reinforce company culture and values.
- Create engagement strategies for both startup and scaling phases.
- Establish communication frameworks for growing teams.
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership.
Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 12+ years of HR experience, including 5+ years in high-growth or scaling organizations.
- Proven track record of building HR functions in fast-paced environments, preferably in tech or engineering-driven companies.
- Expertise in organizational design, change management, and workforce planning.
- Experience managing rapid team expansion and optimizing HR systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and strategic thinking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
- Deep understanding of HR compliance and employment laws.
- Exceptional project management, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, including cross-time-zone collaboration.
- Adaptability in dynamic, ambiguous environments with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Self-motivated with a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
