About the job Director of Government Auditing
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of government audits
- Establishing professional relationships with clients
- Administering firm policies and principles among its staff
- Experience with CCH Pro System Engagement is a plus
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have minimum work experience as a public accountant of 6-8 years
- CPA credentials required
- Audit and Assurance (A&A) experience is required
- Auditing experience specifically related to Financial Statement preparation and single auditing.
This is a full-time position with a yearly salary. However, the selected candidate would work seasonally in June - January.
Morgantown WV: Work from June - January
Oakland, MD: Work from July - December
During the remaining months of the year, the candidate would be required to maintain CPE requirements for government audits. This requirement is 80 hours of A&A CPE over 2 years, which includes at least 24 hours of government specific training - training costs are covered by the firm. During this time, they would not need to report onsite to the Oakland location. Salary is around 120K negotiable depending upon experience.
