We are seeking an Operations Manager for our client in the commercial silica materials space.

SandBox Logistics is a state-of-the-art leader in proppant storage, handling and well-site delivery, and is dedicated to making proppant logistics cleaner, safer, and more efficient. The company has 26 operating mines and processing facilities and two additional exploration stage properties across the United States and is headquartered in Katy, Texas.

Monday - Friday 24/7 Operation - This person will be required to be On-Call. Some weekends as needed.

Essential Job Functions:
- Guides, organizes, and directs the hourly work force in conjunction with superintendents and supervisors.
- Manages plant operations and collaborates with maintenance to ensure equipment is maintained in satisfactory condition.
- Controls plant direct production and costs through effective planning and management.
- Assures training, implementation, and maintenance of quality, health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Assist the Plant Manager with development and execution of capital and annual budget plans.
- Performs administrative duties required to meet job goals including planning, budgeting, scheduling and reporting.
- Responsible for the overall management, direction and coordination of the production processes.
- Plans, evaluates, recommends, implements and monitors production to minimize costs and meet quality and regulatory needs for the operations. Coordinate interdepartmental needs.
- Provide for continual improvement in production in order to safely meet customer demands while working to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Work with operators to collect data in a timely manner for trending, problem solving and root cause analysis
- Coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance when unscheduled downtime occurs
- Follow and promote all safety regulations and ensures plant adheres to the company EHS and MSHA policies and regulations.
- Manage the production departments, interface with mine personnel, and coordinate with maintenance, purchasing, customer service and accounting.

Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must-haves
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to physically maneuver throughout the mine and plant

Years of Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in mine supervisory/management, with at least 5 years in a management role Alternatively, 7+ years of experience in maintenance with a high school diploma or GED
Industry Experience: Mining industry experience, particularly in production and maintenance Experience in a similar field, such as engineering or operations management
Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Geological Sciences or Engineering Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with relevant experience
Travel Requirements: 20%
