About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Per Diem Mammography Technologist to join a highly respected outpatient imaging center in Burlingame, CA. This role provides weekday coverage (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM) for vacation and sick leave needs.
You will join a dynamic Radiology Department offering advanced imaging services, including CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound, X-ray, Bone Densitometry, and Mammography. The department is known for utilizing cutting-edge equipment and maintaining rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures
  • Produce ACR-quality diagnostic and screening images
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Maintain quality control documentation and support equipment testing
  • Utilize and adapt to RIS and PACS systems
  • Participate in department performance improvement initiatives
  • Support training of students and newly hired staff when needed
  • Float to additional system locations as required

Schedule

  • Monday-Friday
  • 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Variable hours based on coverage needs
  • Must be flexible to work at multiple locations within the health system


Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT Mammography Certification
  • CRT Radiology License
  • CRT Mammography License
  • BLS (CPR) Certification
  • Minimum 3+ years of Mammography experience (Senior Level)
  • 5+ years of Mammography experience (Principal Level)
  • Documentation of at least 40 hours of mammography-specific training (if certified after April 27, 1999)
  • Proof of 200 mammography exams completed within the past 24 months
  • Minimum 15 CEUs in Mammography within the past 36 months
  • MQSA-approved training: 8 hours Digital + 8 hours 3D Tomosynthesis

Required Skill Set

  • Diagnostic and screening mammography expertise
  • Strong knowledge of MQSA and ACR compliance standards
  • Experience with RIS and PACS systems
  • Ability to maintain detailed quality control documentation
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
