JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Manager, Finance for to lead a high-performing Analytics team at a Laboratory. Areas of responsibility include metrics reporting, leading and supporting process improvement initiatives, pricing and contract analysis, profitability analysis, report writing and QA, supporting the budgeting and forecasting team, ongoing support of sales and operations, and ad hoc projects as required. This position interacts with teammates and leaders at all levels within the organization, as well as collaborating with corporate and field teams. This position reports to the Director, Finance

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·Manages Florida based accounting and financial reporting team
· Leads month-end close processes and ensures accuracy of journal entries
· Reviews business transactions to ensure they adhere to GAAP guidance
· Constructs presentation-ready decks for senior leadership
· Gathers, present, and provide explanations for financial statement variances
· Analyzes, evaluates, and makes recommendations to improve operational performance
· Responds to requests for ad hoc financial and operational analysis
· Gains a detailed understanding of user/customer needs and deploys resources to build a solution
· Leads and/or supports complex, cross-functional process improvement initiatives
· Ensures high quality of analytical output
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (MAcc or CPA preferred)
· Minimum of (2) years management experience
· Strong knowledge of GAAP. SOX, and adherence to financial reporting policies
· Strong accounting experience including review of month-end close processes
· Experience and proficiency with financial systems
· Strong business process and data analysis skills
· Proficiency in report writing software (Tableau)
· Intermediate SQL query writing skills
· Understanding of relational database concepts
· Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
· FP&A experience preferred
