About the job Presales Engineer

As a Presales Engineer, you will work closely with FPTs sales team, technology partners, and enterprise clients to design and deliver infrastructure and digital solutions. You will serve as the technical consultant in the sales cycle, helping customers understand how FPTs solutionsranging from servers, storage, cloud, and AI-driven platformscan meet their business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and account teams to qualify opportunities and propose tailored solutions.
  • Conduct customer workshops, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase FPT solutions.
  • Develop solution architectures, hardware sizing, and system integration designs.
  • Prepare technical proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and tender documentation.
  • Support proof-of-concepts (POCs) and solution validation at customer sites.
  • Provide technical enablement and training to partners and internal teams.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and conduct competitive analysis to strengthen FPTs solution positioning.
  • Represent FPT at industry events and technology seminars.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in presales, solution architecture, or technical consulting within IT infrastructure or cloud.
  • Strong knowledge in one or more of the following:
    • Enterprise servers, storage, and data center solutions
    • Virtualization and cloud technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • AI/ML platforms and GPU computing (preferred)
    • Networking fundamentals (switching, routing, security)
  • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience preparing technical proposals, BOMs, and architecture diagrams.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and technology partners.
  • Industry certifications (VMware, AWS, Azure, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus.
