Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Manager to drive the design and delivery of digital solutions that support public sector innovation initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable, user-centric products. You will be responsible for shaping product requirements, ensuring delivery quality, and supporting the rollout of solutions that improve operational efficiency and user outcomes across government systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and prioritise product requirements for digital systems and innovation initiatives
- Translate business and user needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable product backlog items
- Facilitate product discovery and conceptualisation sessions to define solution scope and validate requirements
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of requirements
- Drive user acceptance testing (UAT), including planning, coordination, and validation of deliverables with stakeholders
- Manage product backlog, scope, and priorities, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines
- Ensure cybersecurity and compliance requirements are incorporated throughout the product lifecycle
- Support delivery execution by tracking progress, managing risks/issues, and communicating updates to stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product delivery, operational efficiency, and user experience
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, or Project Management roles
- Proven experience translating business requirements into product features and managing delivery lifecycle
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and product backlog management
- Understanding of user experience (UX), system integration, and testing processes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, structured deliverables
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage priorities, scope, and expectations in a dynamic environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across cross-functional teams
