About the job Senior Delivery Manager
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Delivery Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of software solution deliveries across multiple customer engagements across the APAC region. This role plays a critical part in ensuring delivery excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, and operational efficiency across a wide range of digital programme and services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering software solutions from a system integrator (SI) perspective and be comfortable managing complex, multi-stakeholder environments. This includes regional and local customer representatives as well as internal delivery teams. The candidate should be adept at managing various delivery models, including modernization projects, system migrations, product implementations, and managed services.
Responsibilities:
Project & Delivery Management
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of diverse software projects and services, ensuring alignment to scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of delivery engagements across different industries and regions.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders, understanding their goals, challenges, and ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives.
- Act as the single point of contact for all delivery matters, managing escalations and ensuring customer confidence.
Stakeholder Management
- Effectively engage with multiple levels of stakeholders across customer organizations (regional and local), as well as internal business units, technology teams, and leadership.
- Ensure consistent communication and alignment between delivery execution and strategic business goals.
Delivery Process & Optimization
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, implementing best practices and methodologies such as Agile, DevOps, and ITIL to enhance delivery performance.
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks and reporting structures to track progress, quality, and risk.
Team Leadership
- Manage cross-functional teams, including onsite and offshore delivery resources, promoting collaboration and accountability.
- Mentor and guide project managers and technical leads to develop talent and delivery capabilities across the region.
Financial Management
- Own project financials including forecasting, budgeting, cost control, and margin optimization.
- Support commercial activities such as contract review, scope management, and change control.
Business & Technology Enablement
- Collaborate with solution architects and business development teams to identify new opportunities based on existing delivery engagements.
- Help shape digital initiatives by leveraging technologies such as cloud platforms, automation, and analytics to support client transformation efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in software services delivery, with significant exposure to managing regional projects and cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record delivering complex programmes such as modernisation, migration, managed services, and product rollouts.
- Strong understanding of delivery frameworks, project management tools, and service management practices.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders and lead teams across different cultures and geographies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise software ecosystems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the region when required.
