Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage the operational activities of the OneService system. This national platform facilitates seamless integration between multiple agencies to ensuring high availability and service delivery efficiency. 
  • You will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day operations, handling integration processes with external partners, and ensuring smooth collaboration between agencies, technical teams, and vendors.

Responsibilities

Operations & Project Management

  • Oversee the operational functionality and reliability of the OneService system, ensuring optimal system uptime and performance
  • Act as the primary operations lead for issues, enhancements, and release coordination
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track service levels, implementing corrective actions where necessary
  • System Integration & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Manage the integration process for external systems (e.g., agency and Town Council backends) with OneService
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, system upgrades, and data flow management between agencies and third-party systems
  • Coordinate across internal and external technical teams, including vendors, agencies, and Town Councils, ensuring seamless communication and alignment

Change, Incident, and Release Management

  • Support and manage incident response and resolution for system-related issues, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution
  • Coordinate change management and release processes, including testing, deployment, and stakeholder communications
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and recommend operational improvements

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the main liaison for third-party vendors and system integrators, managing escalations and service delivery
  • Act as the lead for client relationship management with agencies and Town Councils involved in OneService integration
  • Track and report on service metrics and vendor performance, escalating issues as necessary

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain comprehensive system documentation, integration protocols, and operational playbooks
  • Ensure compliance with government IT policies, data security standards, and operational governance requirements

Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years experience in IT operations, system management, or technical project management
  • Strong problem-solving and solutioning skills to address diverse challenges across different teams.
  • Proven experience managing backend systems with external integrations
  • Strong understanding of APIs, cloud systems, and data flow management
  • Familiarity with Whole-of-Government (WOG) systems and processes will be an advantage.
  • Experience working with government agencies, public sector systems, or related environments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams (technical, vendor, agency)
