GAME QUALITY ANALYST (INTERN):

About the Role:

We are looking for an Intern to join our QA team and assist on a variety of projects and tasks. There is not one boring day as a QA Tester, you will playtest projects on different platforms in a number of different ways to find and report occurring bugs and quality issues. Your feedback will help guide the game's quality, visuals, design and balance. During your internship you learn how to conduct testing, reviewing and fixing quality issues along with learning how a games company with multiple games in production functions.

As a QA, you will provide constant support to the assigned project as a whole by ensuring all changes submitted to the game are functional and to the expected level of quality. You will develop a good understanding of the bug life cycle and documentation process using bug tracking software.

What you'll be doing:

  • Write clear reports on findings and communicate status to the wider team, following procedures and best practices.

  • Be responsible for quality and stability of the game content and features.

  • Follow and execute testing strategies, work side by side with the development team in assisting bug investigation (reproduction, isolation) in our bug tracking database.

  • Proactively raise flags about risks, inconsistencies, flaws, etc in features.

  • Identify and record bugs followed by documenting thoroughly in our bug tracking software.

  • Test and evaluate new and existing game features to identify and help remove bugs and update our database.

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test scenarios and user stories.

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate all testing activities.

  • Perform daily smoke tests to ensure stability of the build.

  • Monitor and analyze results after updates.

  • Verify fixes made and cooperate in production of build/ release notes

  • Ensure regular reporting to the Lead & Senior QAs

  • Follow priorities given by Project Manager and Lead QA to ensure current team wide goals are met

  • Communicate feature development to the wider team and provide documentation where necessary

  • Contribute ideas and/or create opportunities to help the team improve the quality of processes

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll bring:

  • A keen interest for the world of gaming

  • Passionate gamer with experience in console and pc titles.

  • Ideally have a previous experience in a similar role or field, either personally or professionally.

  • Rigorous and organized, you are recognized for your analytical mindset.

  • Have strong problem solving skills and creativity.

  • Have a keen eye for detail to identify issues, conduct thorough investigation.

  • Ability to communicate well in small group discussion and presentations.

  • Should be fluent in English (upper-intermediate level or above) and should hold strong communication skills to interact with various departments, with a proactive and independent work style.

  • Have understanding of or willingness to learn development processes and the needs of different departments throughout a development cycle.

  • Work well in a collaborative, team-based environment.

  • Ability to write test-cases and setting up test procedures is a plus.

  • Familiarity with game design software's is a plus.

Requirements: ️

  • A Bachelors degree or similar is preferred.

  • You are studying game design, game development or a relevant field of study.

  • Have a portfolio, show us what you've worked on.

  • Love playing games, having worked with community feedback on game mods or hobby projects is a plus.

  • Proficient in MS Office tools and Google Suite

  • Experience with defect & test case management tools (e.g. JIRA, Asana, TestRail) is a plus.
