Smelter Operation Readiness - Distribution Planning and Coordination Supervisor

Fungsi dari posisi ini/The purpose of this position:

1. Distribution Planning and Coordination Supervisor will be responsible for the daily distribution and flow planning as well as flow optimization.
2. Securing distribution capacity align with market focus and production volume will be part of the responsibility.
3. This position will lead the distribution optimization of existing facility and most effective flow within Gresik and Surabaya.

Tugas dan tanggung jawab utama posisi ini/The key duties and responsibilities of this position:

1. Responsible for data update and accuracy on freight market price, capability, freight market condition in ID and market focus country.
2. Responsible for defining optimum solution between bulk and containerized based on commercial needs and lead time precision.
3. Responsible in developing the optimum network solution for finish and by products distribution that align with commercial needs.
4. Responsible in creating agile planning and up to date distribution solution.
5. Translate sales and operation result to distribution volume and define optimum moda.
6. Presenting the network design proposal and solution within outbound logistic department.
7. Stay up to date the distribution and logistic market trend both in Indonesia and market focus countries.

Tantangan utama pada posisi ini/The key challenges in this position:

1. Data Update: The distribution towards customers rely on the planning of this function. As Distribution Planning Supervisor, to have up to date and reliable data and proposal is critical for marketing team in securing sales plan.
2. Service Level Agreements: Responsible to monitor and maintain 99.5% lead time accuracy of each distribution flow and transport mode.
3. Keeping up with the vessel, container, barge, and bulk distribution market condition: The high uncertainty of vessel routes and availability due to nature, economy, socio politics, and force majeur.
4. Resolving Complex and Technical Issues: This role will be responsible for handling complex technical issues that the team may not be able to resolve on their own. This requires a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly.
5. Monitoring planning vs actual: Marketing will expect secure resources and capabilities to achieve customers contract and expectation. Effective communication, alignment and traffic light control of capacity both distribution & operation will manage this challenge.
6. High Pressure Environment: Sales and Marketing are part of the commercial team and be the core to define company renevue. This position needs to be critical in seeing risk and potential and initate discussion to define solution or action plan.
7. Compliance: mostly related to 3PL, broker, and authority to look into update situation and logistic market as external party and internal party such as sales operation, marketing, GSC, and inbound logistic.
8. Compliance and following FCX Principle of Business Conduct.

Latar belakang, pendidikan, dan pengalaman kerja yang diperlukan agar berhasil dalam pekerjaan ini/The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

1. Minimum bachelor degree industrial engineering, management, logistic/ supply chain. Master degree preferred.
2. 5-7 years of experience as planning & controlling/ logistic/ transport supervisor.
3. Supply chain/ Six Sigma/ Logistic certification will be an advantage.
4. Familiar with SAP and power BI.
5. Experience in automation and data analysis.
6. Knowlegde in vendor management, TMS, WMS, and logistic automation.
7. Ready to work in 7 days a week  (day off can be during weekday)

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)

1. Proven experience in data collection of network and ditribution design.
2. Proven in engagement to 3PL (bulk, barge, containerized, and warehouse operation) on data collection and analysis.
3. Excellent data collection, analysis, and convert it into strategy planning.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex logistic issues.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Proficiency in spoken and written English, technical and conversational.
7. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
8. Knowledge of commodity distribution planning and its transport mode.
9. Experience in transport management is an advantage.
