Supervise, control, and evaluate the production process of oxygen and liquid nitrogen that will be used by all clients in jobsite to support the production process of the client, and coordinate the maintenance of all production equipment and tools to ensure their high availability.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  1. Develop, coach and motivate subordinates by close supervision and OJT for them, in order to enhance their skills, knowledge and capability.
  2. Check work area in a daily and weekly basis by using checklist forms to record the equipment and office condition to ensure that the workplace is safe for work.
  3. Ensure the hourly check to equipment is performed to monitor its performance as the plant logbook, in order to be able to detect possible discrepancy in equipment performance, so that necessary measure may be taken immediately.
  4. Ensure that the maintenance of compressors, air separators, and cylinders using proper calibration method is conducted properly to maintain equipment and tools high availability, including the maintenance of oxygen stocks for temporary measure for the clients in case of shutdown.
  5. Write procedures for the section as the work guidance for the crew by referring to the effective policy in the department and the specific nature of the job.
  6. Monitor and control the process of the production of oxygen and liquid nitrogen by close supervision to ensure that the production meets the target and client's needs, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
  7. Ensure the coordination of the incoming and outgoing oxygen cylinders and liquid nitrogen tanks, so that the numbers of cylinders and tanks can be maintained and controlled, and coordinate with Materials Management in the inventory of loaded oxygen cylinders for MIMS administration.
  8. Perform the administration of timecards, leave administration, employee performance appraisal, and trainings to ensure proper office administration.
  9. Prepare weekly and monthly reports to direct supervisor that contain safety accountability, cylinder inventory, and associated issues, for review by direct supervisor.

The key challenges in this position include:

  • Manage the subordinates of various competence and various cultural backgrounds.
  • These two gas plants are unique; the maintenance (mostly replacement) must be done by the crew.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree (S1) in Physic or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in Gas Plant, both in Maintenance and in Operations.
