The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

1. Maintain, monitor, and direct all DMLZ mine rehabilitation plan and its execution regarding the planning, schedule and timeframe, in order to provide preliminary information and recommendation about completion and compliance and to ensure the project meet or exceed PTFI Safety standards during construction and operation phases.

2. Analyze and develop detailed short-term schedule and timetable for short term DMLZ Mine rehabilitation required to provide a comprehensive and reliable timeframe to advance all activities and to ensure the activity meet the goal and timeline.

3. Provide all project controls support activity by coordinate and build an effective communication with related parties, in order to ensure all planning requirements are well provided in timely manner so that development activities can run smoothly.

4. Provide and maintain comprehensive reports and data bases of ground support engineering activities to provide data and/or recommendation for superior's further decision.

5. Identify, review, and analyze anomalies, variance, non-compliance, and complaint in any related engineering and planning, take corrective action and provide proposed action to management to ensure all correction activities will resolve the task/problem occurred.

6. Provide constructive feedback and advice to Operations on safety, health and industrial hygiene performance, looking after continuous improvements in quality of planning and engineering to meet with GOI and PTFI standard.

7. Review and update the Key Performance Indicators and conduct benchmarking studies for planning purposes on each project in order to optimize the efficiency of manpower and Company's resources.

8. Compliance to department safety programs, safety accountabilities, regular safety inspections, identifying new safety approaches, etc., in order to achieve and ensure that all safety procedures are met.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mining engineering with 2-3 years working experience in related underground mining projects in either development or production. 
  • A working knowledge of Underground Operations activities, capabilities and structure.
