Organize and supervise the crews who work on shift to construct ventilation damper, steel set, ditch, dam and other construction job outside footprint area as per specification and schedule to meet UG production goals. Lead DMLZ construction special project section crew.
The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:
- Monitor all activities and processes of ventilation damper, steel set, ditch, dam and other construction job outside footprint area in order to support the production target of Underground Mine, including deciding the job priority according to superior direction.
- Communicate the Safety and Health standards to be implemented in effective manner and consistent with the Underground Environment by ensuring the safety awareness and safe working practice to achieve the zero accidents.
- Monitor all equipment and material used by checklist and ensure it is operated by skill and certified persons, in order to ensure there are no equipment broken or accident.
- Supervise subordinates in doing other UG facilities, such as UG laboratory, vent regulators, manway and road paving to meet Underground Operation ore production goals.
- Maintain communication with subordinate to achieve good relationship between subordinate and superior, especially regarding man-hours matter.
- Provide daily report to superior and next shift supervisor, in order to inform superior, the work performance and work status to next shift supervisor.
- Provide recommendation to superior for any unsafe activity in new project, in order to avoid and/or eliminate accident, unsafe process and for further decision-making.
- Evaluate the current system to identify and develop recommendation for improvement and development.
- Build and maintain communication with related group subjected to equipment, material and labor in order to smooth the activity and support the project to complete according to the time frame and budget allocation.
- Assist superior in providing mentoring, coaching, and skill/knowledge transfer service to subordinate, in order to ensure the good performance of subordinate.
Minimum Education & Experience
- S1 Civil Engineering with 3 years' experience in Underground Construction, or
- Senior High School with 10 years' experience in Underground Construction.
