Supervise and control hi-pack/hi-bomb activities to ensure they are executed safely and the target is achieved in a timely and at the most cost effective manner, in order to support the continuity of the production and in compliance with company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

1. Conduct daily and weekly meeting to communicate company's safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures and also good industrial relation in order to promote subordinates awareness of safety and environmental issues especially working in Underground, this has a high risk environment.
2. Identify and control the materials/rocks before and after blasting process to ensure the stability and the content/grade of the ore.
3. Supervise, direct and monitor Hi-pack/Hi-bomb activities, in which blasting and explosions are often done to drop hanging materials, in order to ensure safe, appropriate and efficient operations to achieve the production target as planned and required by PTFI.
4. Supervise, direct, monitor and participate in Hi- pack/Hi-bomb process specifically in preparing materials (i.e. blasting sticks, explosives and consumable drills) and site preparations (i.e. put up warning signs) in order to provide sufficient materials for all planned activities and smooth the progress of material taking and gain high- qualified grade of ore and to achieve the production target in a safe, efficient and timely operation as planned and required by PTFI.
5. Ensure subordinates are properly understood of new production technology up to including Centralized blasting procedure, Minegem and Minestar technology included automation and centralized control system of Rock breaker, Chute and General Service and also implement the critical work procedure such as secondary blasting, Centralized blasting, wet muck handling, LOTOTO, etc.
6. Prioritize and make decisions on which tasks needed to be done first in order to meet the goal on continuity providing drawpoint availability and achieve scheduled production target efficiently, safely and timely as required by PTFI.
7. Liaise with other parties who work around the blasting area to coordinate and communicate the blasting time, in order to prevent accidents or damages.
8. Liaise with UG Maintenance department to coordinate the preventive maintenance schedule and damages of all equipments.
9. Liaise with dispatcher, production, and shift Superintendent to coordinate the blasting execution according to the requirement of the production and after blasting process inform the production group to take the blasted materials/ore.
10. Prepare and submit daily report including explosives usage, blasted draw point, used materials, and used equipment's to superior (DMLZ General Foreman) to provide data and information about the status of the works/tasks in the shift and its issues which can be used as foundation for decision making.
11. Motivate subordinates in participating in training and development programs in order to promote and increase their skills and knowledge which will result in better trained and skilled team that may increase the production of DMLZ Hi- pack/Hi-bomb team with more contribution and achievement of production target as planned and set by the company.
12. Monitor and also evaluate performance and potential capabilities of subordinates, to contribute the development of professional team.


Minimum Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree (S1) in Mining Engineering with 2 years' experience in Underground Operations especially Hi-pack/Hi-bomb or High School with 10 - 15 years' experience in Underground Operations especially Hi-pack/Hi- bomb.
