Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant in Washington D.C. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of the restaurant, including financial performance, customer satisfaction, and staff development.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement business strategies to increase revenue and profitability

- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including budgeting and forecasting

- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and responding to customer feedback

- Train and develop staff to deliver exceptional service and uphold company standards

- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive work environment for all employees

- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and cost control to optimize efficiency and profitability

- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and update menus, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection for guests

- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies

- Handle and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner

- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure high quality products and services at competitive prices

- Stay updated on industry trends and competition, and make recommendations for improvement and growth opportunities

- Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations to ensure all employees are meeting expectations and goals

- Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations

- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies to attract new customers and retain current ones

- Other duties as assigned by upper management.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years experience as a General Manager in a high-volume restaurant

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Proven track record of financial success and profitability

- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, cost control, and staff development

- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software

- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
