Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within specified timelines and budgets while ensuring the highest quality standards are met. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive project success and enhance overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning:
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Execution and Monitoring:
- Lead project teams in meeting project milestones and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Conduct regular status meetings with team members and stakeholders to communicate updates and address concerns.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate collaboration across departments.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all project outputs meet quality standards and comply with organizational policies.
- Review project deliverables for accuracy and completeness prior to final delivery.
- Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Track expenditures and provide regular budget reports to stakeholders.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and communication records.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and lessons learned to senior management and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance project management skills and knowledge.
Criteria Selection
- Should have experience working within complex ICT environments (preferably within the government sector) and reporting to Steering Committees at senior management and executive levels.
- Should have a formal project management methodology experience, either PRINCE2 or PMBOK.
- Sould have experience managing the full project life cycle from planning through to operational support handover.
- Should have experience managing multi-functional teams across Business Analysis, Architecture (Solution, Security, Data, Infrastructure), Development, and Testing.
- Should have proven experience of managing health integration projects and possess a comprehensive comprehension of the end-to-end solution.
- Should have demonstrated ability to manage clinical system integration and clinical data management and operate in a healthcare setting in Victoria.
- Proven experience delivering projects in the health systems domain space, preferably related to Victorian Health is desired.
