About the role

We are seeking a Lead Pre-Sales Solution Architect with presales experience that has primary responsibility as the solution owner and lead architect for large sales pursuits. You will be a subject matter expert with experience of leading large design teams, proven experience working with and influencing at director level, understand customers business and commercial issues and the ability to demonstrate the benefits of a wide range of IT services to our clients.

This role is suited to candidates with previous experience in service design and solution construction within domains such as cloud services, hosted infrastructure, application services and end user computing. The role covers the entire solution lifecycle allowing you to identify, design and deliver proposals for large and/or complex architectures and service delivery models. This is an opportunity to work across multiple service domains and interact with senior level management within Fujitsu and the customer environment.

About you

Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers to understand their business strategy and develop IT strategies and architecture for significant areas of their business.
  • Helping senior customer stakeholders see how technological issues/solutions affect their business strategies.
  • Contributing to the definition of customers overall IT architecture.
  • Establishes customer requirements for a solution, building strong relationships and acting as a major influence in the customer choosing Fujitsu.
  • Managing the entire requirements process, including conformance assessment, for large bids or solutions.
  • Defining the approach to large and complex solution development controlling technical scope and the work of the design team in order to ensure an acceptable cost structure.
  • Leading and coaching large design teams, managing the work of specialists that are contributing to the design and implementation of the solution.
  • Shaping solution proposals to be commercially acceptable to the customer which may require solution / service trade-offs.
  • Able to prepare world class proposals for complex multi-party and international opportunities.
  • Responsible for the technical input into qualification and business approval meetings.
  • Take an active role, supporting/leading where necessary, in contract negotiations to ensure that the contract correctly represents the solution and offer.
  • Ensure the transfer of knowledge, documents and learnings from pursuits are communicated back to the broader team to support pre-sale development and re-use.
  • Take an active role in the coaching, mentoring and development of the broader architecture community.

Demonstrated skills and experience:

  • 5 -10 years relevant experience.
  • Presales experience is essential.
  • Federal Government experience is preferable.
  • Generalist knowledge of IT Services in particular Manages Services solutions and infrastructure, with experience in any of the following preferable; SIAM, ServiceNow, Cyber Security, M365, AWS and Azure technologies.
  • ITIL experience
  • Proposal writing and presentation skills.
  • Business and commercial acumen
  • Presenting to technical and business audiences the benefits and features of Service and Technical solution.
