About the role
Were seeking a passionate Legal Counsel to join our collaborative and dynamic ANZ Corporate Legal Team at Fujitsu. This is a blended role across employment and commercial law which involves providing legal support in commercial transactions, employment matters, and disputes across Australia and New Zealand.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice to support business negotiations, minimise risk, and protect Fujitsus commercial interests.
- Draft, review and negotiate a range of contracts and legal documents.
- Advise on employment law matters, including compliance with changing legislation and workplace regulations.
- Identify and manage legal risks, offering practical solutions and preventative guidance.
- Support dispute resolution by preparing legal advice, responses, and evidence.
- Guide the business on contractual obligations and ensure alignment with internal policies and customer standards.
- Contribute to the development of internal policies, procedures, and legal training.
- Build strong working relationships across teams, contributing to a positive and collaborative legal function.
Requirements and Experience
- 3+ years experience as an inhouse lawyer or in a law firm.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: employment law, contract law, employee relations, or commercial/employment disputes.
- Experience in working on information technology contracts, including software licenses, services agreements, and outsourcing contracts preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
