We are recruiting for a nanny for a lovely family based in Clapham SW11. 

The family have a little girl of 6 and a little boy of 4. The role can be either live in or live out. There is a long term permanent role.

Live in option

There is a large double loft bedroom with ensuite for the nanny the hours would be 7am-7pm. During term time the nanny would be free to go off for a few hours each day once the nursery duties are completed, returning around 2pm to prepare dinner before collecting the children from school. In school holidays the nanny would spend the whole day with the children taking them to trips playdates and fun activities

 Live out option

If the live out daily option is preferred then the nanny would need to be fairly local for the 7am start to be sustainable long term, as well as for any babysitting. If the nanny needs to drive to work then a parking permit can be obtained. in school holidays the nanny would work full time 7am-7pm but in term time the nanny would have a break between 11am-2pm. For a daily nanny the salary would be averaged out so that every month would be the same

The children

Both children are lively, fun, and energetic they enjoy running around and dancing. They are both in mainstream school, and higher functioning but do need a little support as they both have SEN needs

Nanny requirements

The right candidate will be calm, patient and organised. You will need a background that includes both SEN experience and nanny experience.  A driver is essential really but it is possible that the family can consider a non-driver for a star candidate who ticks every other box. The school is a short drive away and the employer can insure the nanny to drive their family car. You will need to liaise with other professionals such as speech therapists and be able to implement this in your day to day work with the children. You will need to be reliable and mature minded as both parents work outside the home and travel with work so there is a large degree of responsibility which will suit an independent self starter who has a history of sole charge nanny experience.

Nursery duties only the family have a housekeeper that works three days a week. No travel is required and the family have no pets. Salary is dependent on experience between 35-45k gross per annum. The ideal start date is mid July but nanny can also start in August with early September being the latest start option

As with all our jobs you will need an enhanced (Not basic) DBS police check that is on the update system or less than a year old and first aid. You will need to be available in London in order to interview and trial with families in person.
