PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Tender Administration Intern will support the tender administration team in the preparation, coordination, and submission of tender documents. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the tendering process, project management, and administrative functions within a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Duties:

  • Perform an initial review of the Invitation to Tender documents to establish scope of work, the tender schedule and the composition of the tender team.
  • Alert Managing Director to potential problems in tender development/production.
  • Establish the requirements and deliverables of the tender team members with due regard to the scope of work and the tender schedule
  • Participate in all tender stage meetings
  • Ensure that all relevant data and information compiled during the tender development is considered and made available to all tender team members
  • Maintain accurate records and files (manual and electronic) of all tender data (i.e. correspondence, quotations, internal input, etc.)
  • Plan tender reviews and submittal deadlines and customer requirements
  • Developing a convincing proposal that will meet the requirements and stand out from other tenders.
  • Manage the tender office (i.e. Planning, Organising and Controlling of resources)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in project management or related.
  • Organised with time management.
  • Drivers license minimum Code 10 (PDP).
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Good teambuilding/working skills.
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and to self-prioritize
  • Able to follow detailed instructions
  • Capable of dealing with high stress levels resulting from continual deadlines
