PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To provide strategic oversight and management of the FullServe Services fleet, ensuring optimal utilization, cost efficiency, compliance, and performance. The role is responsible for delivering detailed fleet analytics, reporting, and insights to support operational and executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all fleet operations across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with business and operational requirements
- Develop and implement fleet management strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery
- Oversee vehicle acquisition, replacement planning, and disposal in line with business needs and budget
- Ensure full compliance with all legal, safety, and company requirements (licensing, roadworthiness, insurance, etc.)
- Monitor and analyze fleet performance, including utilization, fuel consumption, maintenance trends, and driver behavior
- Compile and present detailed monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc fleet reports, including dashboards and performance metrics
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to management to support decision-making and cost optimization
- Manage fleet-related budgets, track expenditure, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Oversee service providers (maintenance, leasing, tracking, fuel) and ensure adherence to SLAs and performance standards
- Investigate vehicle incidents and trends, and implement preventative measures to reduce risk and costs
- Develop and enforce fleet policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
- Lead audits and ensure accuracy and integrity of all fleet data and records
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, and Finance to align fleet activities with broader business objectives
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, or related field
- 5–7 years' experience in fleet management, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory role
- Proven experience in fleet reporting, data analysis, and performance management
- Strong knowledge of South African transport and road safety regulations
- Experience with fleet management systems, telematics, and reporting tools
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, reporting, data analysis)
- Valid driver's license
