About the job Head of Operation

Our client, a distinguished financial institution, is seeking a meticulous and dynamic Operation Head to join their Operation Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate strategic goals and objectives for the operational departments.
  • Exercise oversight and management of daily operations encompassing Banking Operations, Trade Operations, Treasury Operations, and Data Management.
  • Authorize and execute operational transactions, as well as assess and approve related requests.
  • Spearhead and strategize operational enhancement initiatives and projects.
  • Lead process re-engineering and operational assessments across Banking Operations, Trade Operations, Treasury Operations, and Data Management.
  • Revise and enhance operational policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Design and implement structured career development programs for staff to align with departmental objectives.
  • Back up of Banking Operations, Trade Operations, Treasury Operations, and Data Management Managers during their absence.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of comprehensive Operations experience with a focus on Trade/Banking & Treasury Operations within the banking sector.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with over 5 years of senior managerial experience.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical prowess, and a track record of driving process improvement initiatives resulting in efficiency gains and cost savings.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior management.
  • Superior decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities, coupled with adeptness in multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to cultivate effective relationships internally across diverse business units.
  • Proficient in employee development practices, encompassing feedback mechanisms, coaching methodologies, and recognition strategies.
  • Demonstrates a keen sense of urgency by consistently meeting deadlines, establishing appropriate task priorities, and executing responsibilities promptly.
  • Proficient in business planning and budgeting, with the ability to analyze and report on variances, and adjust strategies as required.
  • Substantial working knowledge and expertise in Cash, Trade, and Treasury Operations, with a particular emphasis on trade operations.
  • Experience in leading or managing system or innovation projects would be a significant asset for the ideal candidate.
