With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, Fyfe is expanding its Power & Electrification capability and is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with demonstrable experience in leading the planning and delivery of mission-critical infrastructure, ideally within the data centre sector.
The role is a primary interface with our clients, regulators network service providers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. The position requires deep sector knowledge, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and high-value contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of projects in Data centre power supply and supporting infrastructure (grid connections, backup systems, critical power, utility-scale renewables (wind, solar, BESS, hybrid systems), transmission distribution, and other critical infrastructure (substations, network upgrades, industrial power)
- Lead the preparation of feasibility studies, concept designs, and techno-economic assessments
- Develop and implement effective grid connection, land access, procurement (e.g. EPC, EPCM etc), regulatory approvals, and stakeholder engagement strategies to help achieve project objectives
- Manage multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and specialist consultants through all project phases ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental and regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical preferred), or equivalent tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
- Extensive experience in delivering complex projects in renewables, data centres, and/or critical infrastructure
- Commercial acumen with proven client engagement and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from early development stages through to delivery and across a range of delivery models including EPCM, EPC, and D&C
- Previous experience working in an engineering consulting environment as Owner's Engineer, Project Director, or Senior Project Manager desirable
