Senior Ecologist – Shape the Future of Biodiversity at Fyfe

About the Opportunity

As demand for renewable energy and major infrastructure grows, so does the need for strong ecological leadership. Were looking for a Senior Ecologist to join our expanding Ecology team and play a key role in delivering high-impact projects across Australia.

This is more than a technical position. Its an opportunity to influence how biodiversity services are delivered, mentor others, and help shape the direction of a growing ecology capability within a national consultancy.

What will you be doing?

  • Facilitate high-quality project delivery across your biodiversity and ecology space
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports and assessments
  • Leading site inspections and managing field teams
  • Driving continuous improvement in processes and service delivery
  • Managing project budgets, timelines, and resourcing
  • Coordinating internal teams and resources for your project
  • Building strong client relationships and contributing to repeat work and growth

About You

You are a confident, experienced ecologist who thrives on responsibility and collaboration:

  • Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) Accreditation (essential)
  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science or a related discipline
  • Proven experience working independently across field, office, and remote sites
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • A solid understanding of QA processes and technical governance
  • A collaborative mindset with confidence in managing client relationships
