About the opportunity

We are seeking a Land Development Lead – Survey to lead the growth, delivery, and integration of land development services within our South Australia Survey team.

This key leadership role connects surveying, civil engineering, planning, and environmental services to deliver coordinated land development outcomes.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Engagement

• Develop and grow relationships with developers, consultants, and key industry stakeholders
• Identify and secure new land development surveying opportunities
• Lead proposals, tenders, and capability presentations
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of work across the land development sector

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead land development survey projects from concept through to completion
• Oversee cadastral, detail, and construction survey inputs across development projects
• Ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and to a high technical standard

Technical & Cross-Discipline Integration

• Act as the key interface between surveying, civil, planning, and environmental teams
• Ensure seamless integration of survey inputs into broader project delivery
• Support the development of coordinated multi-disciplinary solutions

Team Leadership & Capability Development

• Provide mentoring and leadership to survey staff working in land development
• Support capability development and team growth
• Contribute to workforce planning and recruitment needs
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture

Compliance & Professional Standards

• Ensure all work meets legislative, regulatory, and company standards
• Promote safety and quality across all projects
• Maintain strong professional representation of Fyfe in the market

About you

You are a commercially minded survey professional with strong land development experience and a proven ability to build trusted client relationships.

You'll bring:

• Strong experience in land development surveying (subdivisions and development projects)
• Demonstrated success in business development or winning work
• Experience leading projects in a consulting environment
• Strong understanding of land development processes and civil integration
• Commercial awareness, including project financials and pipeline management
• Ability to influence across multidisciplinary teams
• Licensed/Registered Surveyor status (preferred, not essential depending on experience)
