About the role
Our workforce is a combination of office and field-based staff working in metropolitan and regional sites across Australia. As the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Advisor, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the WH&S, Environment and Quality Management Systems for the Company.

This largely autonomous role demands extensive knowledge of Management Systems development and implementation and a pragmatic approach to its application. As the HSEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support, guidance and advice to the business, management team and personnel through operational and administrative tasks, strategic initiatives and projects. This role is mainly office-based, with some site visits for auditing and inspections.


Skills & experience

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will also undertake various investigations, assessments and audits, data analysis, reporting, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

  • Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety or higher
  • A broad knowledge of the relevant legislation relating to HSE (Acts and regulations, Codes of Practices)
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
  • Strong understanding and capability in hazard identification, risk assessment and controls
  • Ability to conduct training, toolbox talks
  • Internal Auditor qualification
  • Incident/non-conformance investigation experience
  • Ability to lead HSE initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust safety practices
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator experience
  • High level of Microsoft Office suite of products, including SharePoint
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail
  • Ability to travel interstate or to a site at short notice or as required
