Project Engineer

Fyfe is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing comprehensive engineering, environmental, planning and surveying services throughout Australia. Fyfe work with a wide range of clients in the Property & Infrastructure and Energy & Resources sectors to provide high quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery

Our Energy and Resources Division works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist Oil and Gas, Hydrogen and Renewable Energy projects across the country. These include upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major Gas transmission Pipelines, Oil and Gas facilities, as well as integrity, maintenance and construction related work programs.

We are seeking a qualified Project Engineer with 2 to 8 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. This full-time role involves a secondment to one of our top-tier clients for a period of 6 to 12 months.

This role will see you be responsible for:

• Delivering project management solutions on time, on budget, within scope, and with high quality to our clients.
• Developing and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including client representatives.
• Creating detailed work plans which identifies and sequences delivery activities.
• Reading and understanding engineering drawings
• Determine resource requirements.
• Capture, and process variations within levels of authority or advise management accordingly.

About you:

• You have tertiary engineering qualifications in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering;
• Highly preferrable Oil and Gas experience
• 2 8 years experience in a similar role
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• You currently reside or intend to reside in Brisbane;
• Natural ability to manage budgets and schedules
• You excel at multitasking and enjoy working on a variety of projects
