About the job Lead Electrical Engineer
Fyfes Energy and Resources Division works with major clients to deliver mining, renewable energy, oil and gas projects across the country.
The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Perth team working on project portfolios of Electrical and Power Projects across Oil and Gas/ Mining and Industrial Sector.
The Responsibilities:
This is a senior position that requires an energetic team player with strong technical skills who can lead projects, consult with clients and mentor junior team members.
You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including design engineers and project managers and our Eastern States office, to ensure projects are delivered safely on time/budget and exceed client expectations.
Skills and Requirements:
- Highly desirable to have exposure to business development activities
- Demonstrated experience leading technical design projects
- Strong Technical skills as well as analytical and technical report writing skills
- Ability to perform checking and approval of Electrical Deliverables
- HV and MV experience
- Competence with Electrical Analysis software such as ETAP
- Experience in Hazardous Area Classification
- Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and client requirements
- A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality work
- Previous experience within a consultancy framework
- Exposure to energy projects broadly across Oil and Gas, Renewables, Power generation, Agricultural and Mining.
- Ability to travel to site on an infrequent and ad hoc basis.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering at an Australian University or equivalent with relevant Electrical experience
- CPEng preferred or desire to work towards chartered status
- Working rights in Australia
