We're looking for an FP&A Lead – Projects & Forecasting, a commercially minded finance leader who can elevate forecasting accuracy, sharpen project performance insights, and drive ERP‑enabled governance across our engineering business. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment and enjoys shaping how a business plans, measures and performs.

What you'll be driving

  • Leading monthly 12‑month rolling forecasts across projects and business units
  • Designing and improving project‑level forecasting templates
  • Tracking forecast accuracy and delivering meaningful variance analysis
  • Running scenario modelling on pipeline, resource shifts and cost changes
  • Integrating rolling forecasts with the annual budget and long‑range plan
  • Acting as the finance lead for ERP configuration, optimisation and governance
  • Improving project setup standards including cost codes, billing rules and revenue recognition
  • Ensuring data integrity across forecasting, reporting and project controls
  • Partnering with IT to deliver ERP enhancements and automation
  • Driving reporting automation into Power BI and planning tools
  • Collaborating with the General Manager, business leaders and Finance Business Partners
  • Supporting Shared Services with clear, consistent reporting standards

What you'll bring

  • 8–12+ years FP&A experience in engineering or project‑based environments
  • Strong capability in rolling forecast modelling and scenario analysis
  • ERP experience, ideally Business Central
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
  • CA / CPA qualification (desirable)
  • Experience working with shared services teams
  • A commercial mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to influence and communicate clearly with non‑finance stakeholders
  • A data‑driven, process‑improvement approach
  • Confidence to challenge project assumptions and drive better outcomes
