Middleton Group is seeking a highly experienced Design Manager to drive the delivery of renewable energy, energy storage, HV infrastructure and data centre design projects. The role will involve project team leadership, client engagement and management and hands on involvement in the technical delivery of the projects.

In collaboration with senior management, you will have commercial and delivery responsibility of major energy projects. Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring projects are adequately planned, budgeted, resourced and programmed
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and schedule and meeting or exceeding the business and project quality requirements.
  • Leadership and mentoring multi-disciplinary projects teams.
  • Actively driving and participating in tender and proposal preparation.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting on project performance against budget and schedule.
  • Interfacing with clients and internal stakeholders, enhancing Fyfe's presence and position within the renewable energy, energy storage, grid connection and data centre sectors.

What Were Looking For:

  • Bachelor of Engineering, ideally with a background in Civil, Electrical, or Structural Engineering
  • Demonstrated project delivery and design management experience, ideally in power generation or HV grid infrastructure
  • A network of relevant client relationships is desirable
  • Well connected, driven and ambitious, you will be confident in your ability to lead teams, manage clients and deliver design projects in the energy sector
  • Proven experience in both technical and people management
  • Strong analytical and technical report writing skills
  • A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality of work
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
