We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.       • Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and critical Income Statement reconciliations.
      • Monthly general ledger journal entries & review of debtors, creditors, cash book, inventory& fixed assets sub ledgers
      • Loading of all banking details on banking system and ensure daily payments, including monthly third party payments
      • Submission of VAT, Import VAT, PAYE and related taxes on the ITAS system.
      • Submission of VET training levy and training refunds
      • Translation of Foreign currency differences and Foreign Exchange Contracts
      • Fixed Asset Management
      • Reconcile Income tax and deferred taxation.
      • Assisting with the yearly external audit and financial statements.
      • Capture Data and processing on Zohobooks
      • Month-end reports and reconciliations, calculation and submission of monthly returns to relevant statutory bodies(Ministry of Finance PAYE , and National Training Authority VET Levy)
      • Acquisition of Good Standing Certificates at all statutory bodies
      • Ensure the company is always in good standing with updated certificates from NAMRA, Social Security and BIPA and any other government institution
      • Assist on adhoc basis with preparation of quotations for the departments.
      • Process Purchase and sales orders in the accounting system
      • Weekly bank and petty cash reconciliations
      • Debtors follow-up on outstanding payments/invoices
      • Preparation of budgets VAT Returns & Audits with efficiency, transparency, and value for money in future tendering activities.
      • Manage and monitor the database of tenders awarded, track financial impact and report on this.
      • Work effectively with minimal supervision, delivering high-quality results within budget and schedule constraints.
      • Demonstrate both autonomy and collaboration with colleagues across business units.
      • Foster positive relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers.
      • Actively seek and accept guidance and feedback from subject matter experts and colleagues.
      • Possess a working knowledge of statutory legislation and regulations.
      • Manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are followed.
      • Stay updated with current trends and developments in accounting, income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and related fields.
      • Utilize research, statistical, and forecasting methods in accounting analysis and management, while performing filing duties, general office tasks, deliveries, and handling ad hoc assignments.


  • Bachelors Degree in

     Accounting, NQF Level 7 or 8

  • >5 years' experience in Accounting or Financial Management with relevant industry experience
  • Valid Code 8 Drivers License
  • Completion of articles will be an advantage
  • Auditing experience will be advantage
  • Experience in the preparation of management reports.
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting cost control systems and their operations and applications
  • Exceptional knowledge of risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Must be highly computer literate with strong knowledge of MS Office / Excel, emailing, internet and financial management software.
  • Be well-versed in administration and accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to control budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, and people management skills.
  • Excellent time management and operational skills.
  • Detail-orientated and be able to implement procedures.
  • High learning ability and be capable to adapt to dynamic competitive environment
