Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 gross per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm
Children: One (boy, one year old at start)
Start Date: Mid-August, with a handover period before mum returns to work in early September
A family based in Southfields are seeking a proactive full-time nanny to care for their little boy as mum returns to work in September. Mum will be at home through August for a proper handover, and the role becomes fully sole charge from early September.
Their son has just turned nine months and is a happy, social little boy. He has regular playdates with friends, loves being outside, and is at the age where he is really starting to enjoy walks, the park, and time with other children. The family are keen for him to stay active and social, with classes and group activities likely to build as he gets older. Above all, the family are looking for someone kind and caring, with a very naturally warm nature who will care lovingly for their son.
He is well structured on his naps and routines, and the family would love a nanny who can keep that consistency going. He has started weaning and will be on solid meals by the time the role begins, so cooking is an important part of the day. The family would love someone confident with batch cooking for a baby and, ideally, happy to cook enough that there is something left for the parents too.
Mum will work from home one day a week but will be properly heads-down working on those days, so the role is genuinely sole charge throughout the week.
Travel is not a regular requirement, but the family would love a nanny who is happy to come along on the occasional trip if it works out. There are no pets in the home. Driving is not essential, and the family are happy for the nanny to use public transport or black cabs as needed.
Requirements:
- Significant nanny experience with babies and weaning-age little ones
- Enhanced DBS
- Paediatric first aid
- Strong, verifiable references
- Strict non-smoker
