A family based in Oxford is looking for a kind, dynamic and professional nanny to join their household from August. The family have two boys; the older brother is a gentle and cuddly four year old with lots of curiosity. He is currently very interested in trains, planes, boats, farm and construction equipment! He can be shy at first, but once settled, he is very chatty and engaging. He will be starting reception in September. His younger brother will be five months old when the role begins; he is a calm, smiley baby who is currently eating and sleeping very well. Together, they make a lovely dynamic duo who keep the family home full of laughter and discovery. The role offers a lovely balance of sole charge and shared care, with the opportunity to work alongside Mum and enjoy a varied day-to-day role.

The family are looking for someone kind, proactive, professional and a genuine team player who will become a valued member of their household. The family place a high value on kindness and strives to create a nurturing environment where the boys feel secure enough to take risks, develop their independence and learn from their mistakes. They are looking for a loving nanny who is proactive, imaginative and warm, and who is also happy to muck in where necessary to make family life run smoothly.

The role involves full nursery duties for both boys, including preparing nutritious meals, managing their laundry and keeping their play areas tidy. The nanny will be responsible for creating age-appropriate developmental activities, managing the school run for the older brother alongside Mum and Dad, and overseeing the younger brother's weaning and sleep routines. The family are happy for the nanny to build a network of local classes, activities and other families for playdates, and their current nanny is happy to speak with the successful candidate about the existing set-up. They expect a high standard of professional conduct, including punctuality, discretion and a proactive approach to the role.

The family have just moved to Oxford to a leafy and quiet road within walking distance of both the City Centre and Summertown. Oxford is a great city with something for everyone, with frequent trains to London taking approximately 60 minutes, as well as an extensive local bus network. The location also makes it easy to explore the surrounding Cotswolds during the nanny's time off.

The family will require the nanny to travel with them to their second home in the Cotswolds, where they frequently spend time during the school holidays. They generally visit the Cotswolds at weekends, but the nanny will be required to work from there during holiday periods when the family are in residence. Driving is therefore an essential part of the role, and the successful candidate must be a confident driver. There may also be occasional weeknight babysitting by mutual agreement.

As a residential position, the nanny will initially have their own bedroom and bathroom on the top floor of the family home. The family are also redeveloping an annexe for the nanny, which is expected to be ready a few months after the nanny starts and will provide more private accommodation once complete. The family will offer the successful candidate an annual CPD budget of £170 and 28 days' annual leave per year, inclusive of bank holidays.

The family have a small Corgi dog and is looking to employ a live-out housekeeper two to three times a week.
