A family based in Tooting is seeking a warm, loving, and hands-on nanny for when Mum returns to work in January.
They will require care for the eldest during school holidays, although he will spend some of this time with parents, other family etc. Both parents have demanding full-time jobs. Mum works from home on Mondays, and Dad often works from home on Wednesday, though this can shift week-to-week.
The four-year-old is a confident and caring boy, who enjoys playing with cars and Lego, and reading. The baby is very calm and easygoing - described as an absolute dream.
The family would love a nanny who can step in like a third parent, with a confident nature and who would develop a genuine bond with both children. They are not looking for an extra curricular teacher, but for the boys to be well cared for in a down-to-earth family home.
Food is a priority. The family requires a nanny who can cook home-made, nutritious meals for both the baby and the eldest. The baby will need weaning around the time the role starts, so confidence with weaning and cooking from scratch is a must. The ideal candidate will enjoy cooking for children and understand good nutrition.
They see the right nanny as an extension of the family - someone who will work with the parents, but also be able to safely design and run schedules that prioritise the boys' needs. A proactive and thoughtful approach to household chores related to the boys, keeping things tidy where possible. Someone willing to get stuck in, and would not shy away from picking up something from the shop if they notice the family is running low!
A driver is not needed. The school, parks/green spaces, and local amenities are all walking distance. Travel with the family is unlikely.
