About the job Rota Nanny | Hampstead, London
Role: Rota Nanny, 1 week on/off
Location: Hampstead, north west London
Salary: £75,000+
Children: B2, and a baby (born February 2026)
Start Date: August (flexible)
A warm, relaxed family in Hampstead are seeking an experienced and professional rota nanny to join their household on a long-term basis. The role will initially focus on their two-year-old boy, gradually taking on care of the new baby as he or she transitions from maternity nurse care at around six months old.
This is a genuine career opportunity for a nanny looking to settle into a calm, respectful and collaborative home. You would work alongside involved parents and an established rota nanny, sharing care and keeping consistency and continuity across the week.
The family lead a relaxed, outdoorsy life built around curiosity, creativity and real-world learning. Days are full of adventures, books, music, sensory play and hands-on exploration. The children are given the space to build independence and confidence, with clear and age-appropriate boundaries, and the family keep screens to a minimum.
This is a sole-charge position during rota periods, including overnights. Day to day, the role covers routines, feeding, weaning, potty training and the transitions into nursery and preschool, alongside engaging, age-appropriate activities and plenty of outdoor time. You would also keep the children's spaces well organised and prepare their meals.
The family are looking for someone warm, proactive and genuinely passionate about young children. Someone calm and attuned to a child's emotional and developmental needs, confident with both babies and toddlers, and happy working in close partnership with parents and a co-nanny. A happy, health-conscious, low-screen household that hopes to find a nanny who can become a trusted and lasting part of family life.
Travel is very infrequent, just the occasional family holiday.
